STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS
RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS FOR YOUR HVAC SERVICE PROVIDED
Although you have your own set of criteria, sometimes we are asked for
our opinion of the minimum qualifications a HVAC service provider should
have:

A central, national dispatch call centre.

Toll free service telephone numbers.

24 hour emergency service, 7 days a week, 365 days per year, in six
time zones.

Internal infrastructure to provide a quick response to the site, quick
and detailed reports and recommendations, and accurate invoicing.

Consistent, seamless and professional coverage across Canada.
-
A reporting system to advise of all maintenance and repair activity
(weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually).

A single, designated contact for all communication.
-
Minimum $5 Million liability insurance. (Show Proof of same)

A designated service manager as a contact for each location being
serviced.
-
Professional Engineers on staff or available at the expense of the
contractor and at the request of the customer.
-
Maintain an “Ozone Depleting Substance Emission Control Service
Log” as required by law.

Proof of good standing with the Workers Compensation Board. (Show
Proof of same)

A list of licensed HVAC/Refrigeration mechanics on permanent staff
with their certification numbers.

A company profile including; History, Resources and a company
Organizational Chart with key personnel identified.

A letter from the designated Engineer stating they will take
responsibility for any design or retrofits.

Refrigeration recovery units and vacuum pumps on each service vehicle.

A Contractor Certificate of registration under the Gas Safety Act.
-
A Contractor license under the Power Engineers, Boilers and Pressure
Vessel safety act.
